Polka Dot Paper is a contemporary design studio offering a large ready-to-buy collection of wedding invitation stationery and bespoke design services. With a highly customisable product range spanning semi-custom suites, bespoke designs and on-the-day essentials, the brand needed a WordPress eCommerce website that could handle the complexity of their ordering process while doing justice to the beauty of the work itself. As a designer herself, the founder had a clear vision, and we were here to bring it to life.
Polka Dot Paper needed more than a pretty online store. Their products are deeply customisable – paper colours, shapes, print methods, layering options and more – and the website needed to reflect and support that level of choice without overwhelming the couples browsing it.
The challenge was rebuilding a WooCommerce store that made a complex product feel effortless to explore and order, while matching the elevated, contemporary aesthetic the brand is known for.
We redesigned the Polka Dot Paper WordPress website with WooCommerce at its core, pairing it with a carefully sourced product customisation plugin that could handle the intricacies of their ordering process. Customers can now navigate their options in a way that feels intuitive and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
The visual design was crafted in close collaboration with the founder, whose background in design meant she had a precise vision for how the website should look and feel. Every detail was considered and executed to her standard – the result being a website that feels as considered and beautiful as the stationery it sells. An ongoing monthly support plan was put in place to keep everything running smoothly long after launch.
