The Patonga Beach Progress Association is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the tight-knit coastal community of Patonga Beach, NSW. Managing the local hall for private bookings and coordinating community events, they needed a website that worked as hard as their volunteers, whilst making life easier for everyone involved.
The Association had no dedicated online presence and was managing everything manually – hall booking requests through Facebook and community updates through a WhatsApp group. They wanted a proper home on the web that would make the booking process easier for the community and reduce the admin load on their volunteers.
With a team made up mostly of seniors, it was just as important that the website was simple enough for anyone to update themselves, no tech experience required.
We built a clean and lean WordPress website that brought everything together in one place. The manual Facebook booking process was replaced with an embedded calendar, making it easy for community members to check availability and submit requests directly through the site.
Events and gallery functionality was added to keep locals informed and connected, and the whole site was built to allow the volunteers to update content confidently.

Built with non-technical users front of mind, the website is simple enough for any volunteer to update confidently. No coding knowledge or outside support needed to manage content.
Supported by one of our WordPress hosting and maintenance plans, keeping the website secure, up to date and running smoothly, so volunteers can focus on the content and community, not the technology.
